    WoD character customizations

    hello,
i am thinking to start a character on warmane . i have the "old" client . is it mandatory to have the "new" client to play on icecrown . and can i download that patch separately without the whole game.

    Thank you

Personally I wouldn't recommend switching to the new client. All it has is a few visually 'upgraded' character models. There tend to be glitches with hairstyles and such with these. There is no benefit (in terms of fixes clientside) in using the new client over the old client.

No, it's not mandatory, and it is possible to patch it without re-downloading. However, the "new" models patch seems to cause more problems than what it's worth. I'd highly recommend that you keep your client as it is.

And if i would want to play with the wotll models, tho i have the wod client, what should i do? Download the whole patch again?

WoD client? If you're playing on retail, you simply change the option in your interface settings.

MrCaddylaqq, if you want to remove the WoD models from the new client and restore it to the original wotlk one, you can simply remove patch-enUS-w.mpq and patch-w.mpq from /Data and /Data/EnUS.
