Auto complete quests: Just flipping that switch / press that button

So once I reached Northrend here the other day I OF COURSE went to Boraean (Best zone) and I figured out that eventually some of the quests was bugged out / did not work: No problem - as this is something i do expect to happen on private servers.

The following quests were the ones that was bugged out:

Words of Power
Spirits Watch Over Us
Ned, Lord of Rhinos...
Drake Hunt (Coldarra)

So then I did like I have done any other time at any other private server where I found bugged out quests: I Sendt a ticket to the Staff and said something along the lines of "Hey, these quests are not working atm - Mind just auto completing them for me, I got them in my logg and everything"

Yet after half a days wait (Which is surprisingly fast compared to other servers I've been on, nice going Warmane!) I was told to just check the bugtracker and wait around for it to get a "Confirmed" status for fix?

So I am no programmer or know all the digits and codes and so on that you need to fix a bug let long operate a private server - Yet on any other server I was on when sending a message like this: The Staff member that responded to me simply stamped my quests as completed - Like once he / she responded to my tickets. We called it a day and we all went happier away from the scenen where I got my quests and the staff member satisfied one of the players by helping them out.

Now does this mean that Warmane operates under som other circumstances compared to other private server? As the staff members from my previous server was like "Done" as if he / she just flipped a switch / pushed a button and WHAM: the quests in my LOG got marked as complete despite the quest overall still not working.

Now I do appreciate the fact that the Warmane staff is more like "Hold it! We WILL fix this some day!" and I like that - They care to get bugs fixed but in that very moment: could they not just simply have marked the quests in my logg as completed as well? Or again: is there another system here at Warmane that makes to do that WAY harder than what it seemed like in the past: as if it could be done in 2 seconds without needing to think twice?

That's all I want to know from this thread - I am not bashing anyone as again: The respond time on the ticket was faster than Sonic X on speed, that the Warmane staff ACKNOWLEDGES that the bug is there and confirms that it WILL be fixed makes them 20 steps above mostly any private server I have been on before: but how come they just could not set the quests I mentioned at that moment as completed in my logg? That's all I'd like to know.

They can, but they don't want to do it (I don't know the exact reason, it just is a server policy).
I say they can because they actually do it for important quests (example: DK or worgen starting quests).
