Hello Warmane players, i quitted wow for 2 years and im right back now.
I am interested to PvP but i don't wanna play on Blackrock (Scripters, Hackers, bad gear system etc.) and i don't wanna play on Icecrown (full of mourne/donors and full gear people) so i decide to play on Lordaeron.
Should i really spend my time on Lordaeron (PvP side)?
I mean retail experience with a good population realm could be fun in PvP, leveling and grinding will be hard but end-game experience > leveling.
are you kidding? PvP on Lordaeron is made by random pvers, check Lordaeron 3s ladder: http://armory.warmane.com/ladder/3v3/Lordaeron
Rank 1 is 1900, Rank 10 is 900 rating. Why? because who is interested into PvP do not play on a x1 realm when there are "x7" and "instant 80" realms.
That said if you like levelling and you do not care about PvP-skill and you wanna just enjoy same BGs and 2s then fine, go ahead.
PS: actually your question seems a bit pointless. Warmane offers 3 Wotlk realms and you said:
I do not wanan play Blackrock because "Scripters, Hackers, bad gear system etc."
I do not wanan play Icecrown because "full of mourne/donors and full gear people"
So it seems you have already made your decision...
I'll give you my 2 cents from the perspective of someone who leveled a character on Lordaeron solely for the PvP content.
I enjoy the 'old school' x1 leveling process, as this reminds of live when I had a lot of fun playing this game. x7 on Icecrown just doesn't give me the same feeling.
On Lordaeron there's gear progression involved in PvP as well, as we move through the seasons. This is also something that I really enjoy.
In terms of BGs it's usually around 1-10 minutes to wait for a BG. In the shorter time span if you just came out from a BG that finished, since everyone will be queueing up again.
For arena I have never had any trouble getting 2s queues, and meeting mostly different teams (ie not same team over and over again cause no one else is queueing).
When it comes to 3v3 though, the situation is different. Currently the bracket seems close to dead, with rarely anyone queueing. I would like to point out though that this is a vicious cycle, and it CAN be changed. Every serious PvPer that I've talked to on Lordaeron want to play 3v3, but no one is really ready to put an effort in to make it happen. What I mean by this is that you have potentially 5-10 teams online at peak time, but no one even tries to queue because well, they know that it's not gonna pop. This leads to the few people that actually do queue to stop doing so. I think you can see what I'm trying to say here. So - what can be done about this? I've been meaning to try to gather opinions from the player base as to when the best day or time frame would be to queue 3s for the majority of the players, in an attempt to organize 3v3 queues at specific times. This I will do this week, keep a look out on Lordaeron forum if you're interested.
Anyway, in my opinion, Lordaeron PvP is not as dead as people make it out to be. But part of the reasons why it is in the state it is currently is everyone giving this impression.
I hope this will help you in making your decision. Feel free to PM or reply here if you want more information.
If you have the time to invest into leveling on Lordaeron and are willing to play on progressive PvP and PvE content, then Lordaeron is OK for you. Otherwise just stick to Icecrown. I don't play on Blackrock because it's full of AT players and they're cancer.
