Help a newbie to PvP

Ok so i played on Warmane before but i only played PvE, and now i cant spare multiple hours just to do one raid so i decided to turn to PvP. I have some questions and i would appreciate answering any one of them. P.S only WOTLK
Questions
N1 I noticed Blackrock has a small population (800) and you start with pretty good gear so it seems for more Pro players. Should i start on Icecrown realm?
N2 Which classes are eligible for PvP?

1. Blackrock definitely offers a higher level of competition even on low ratings so I guess you should start on Icecrown, yes.
2. Eligible? What do you mean by eligible. Every class is viable if paired with the right class. Saying you're new to PvP, I suggest you start with the class you have most knowledge of and start building your experience from there.

Well if you actually wanna get better and get a taste of what pvp's supposed to be like, you should go to blackrock.

Icecrown is actually less newbie-friendly because before you get all the pvp items (1k+ resil), you will be getting oneshotted by various classes with heroic lk weps and trinks so you won't even know if you're doing anything right. And it's harder to get better because how do you learn how to counterplay dispel when most 6.5ks there don't even have their dispels keybound.. and then you go up against someone who actually knows how to play and you're completely lost
