WotLK [Lordaeron] [PVE] What spec?

I am transitioning from PVP to PVE to try my hand at raiding on Lord.

I joined a raiding guild and I don't think they care what spec I run. I noticed in the raid last night that they already have 2 warlocks running as destro. I know that since I am new to warlock and raiding on Lord, that destro is the easiest spec to play, especially with lower gear.

I purchased the warlock I am playing on trade with a few pieces of PVE gear already:

I have also supplemented those items with BOEs from AH and some faction gear and I have hit the HIT CAP already. I still have 3-4 pieces of PVP gear that I need to replace.

That said, I am considering going destro for the raids. I hear that affliction can do well with BIS gear but that it's tougher to master. I understand that affliction is a needed for Yogg too.

With me being new to warlock, should I go with the easier to master spec 1st and then maybe transition into affliction later when I get better gear?

What about demo? Is it worth speccing before ICC?

http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=67828 helped me out a ton, I also play Destro simply because I play Destro on live as well, and though it's very different it's similar in most aspects of my playstyle.

I play on Icecrown, but I don't buy any gear so my stuff is bought/earned by my hand. I only do around 4/5k DPS with 5.2k GS pretty meh but I have low gear so that's most likely the issue since I outdamage a lot of people with similar gs to me.
