Cataclysm Retrieving character list

1.st. of all hello to every one.
The last few days I have some issue with the problem mentioned in the topic title.
It happens every time I want to switch my character and some times even when I try to log in.
Any suggestion how to solve this problem?
Its something about my connection or is sever related?

Same here. It's been happening to many of my friends too. I will log in, play for 5 minutes, and then the game will simply stop playing. I won't get disconnected, I won't get server down, anything. It just will stop communicating and when I reopen wow it just won't retrieve any char list. Been going on for days already.

That`s new for me that the game simply stop playing..iv never stumble in such a problem.
Anyway this problem persist for few minutes and now im able to log in again..strange.

This issue can and will be resolved by opening the Config.wtf file with any text editor (like Notepad).
At the top of the list of settings , make sure it reads the following:

SET locale "enGB"
SET realmlist "logon.warmane.com"
SET patchlist "logon.warmane.com"

• Remove all other entries somewhere else down the list which either states the same (set realmlist / patchlist / locale) or something similar.

• The config.wtf file is located in the WTF folder in the root of your game installation folder.

• If for some reason you have a different localized client, edit the enGB part to whatever language your client is

I did it un the way you recommended it and for now look like it works :)
