According to what I've heard from other topics, those crashes are caused by the new models of wotlk, so, simply play with the olds. I may be wrong but that can solve your issue.
New Models Require you to uncap your memory in Dalaran or such crashs keep happening, I recall a guide on it somewhere.
arent the hairstyles the only thing that can crash the client and since everyone with new hairstyles is bald to others that shouldnt make you crash
No that's a Completely Separate Issue.
if you have 4 or more GB of ram and a 64bit OS google Large Address Aware, it will allow Wow to use more than 2 GB of ram since the new models are bigger quality hence use more memory, making the game crash cuz it cant load all these damn models with such a low amount of ram.
wont fix all the crash's but will deffenitely fix 90% of them

You can get crash even if you're using old models on x64 OS.
Best solution is to run wow as on XP. If you don't know how, than just do right click on wow -> Troubleshoot compatibility. It will offer you to run application as on Win XP.
Have fun.
I used to crash in Dal every time I went there and this has completely fixed it for me. Give this a shot.
What are you system specifications including OS?
