This issue can and will be resolved by opening the Config.wtf file with any text editor (like Notepad).
At the top of the list of settings , make sure it reads the following:

SET locale "enGB"
SET realmlist "logon.warmane.com"
SET patchlist "logon.warmane.com"
- Remove all other entries somewhere else down the list which either states the same (set realmlist / patchlist / locale) or something similar.
- The config.wtf file is located in the WTF folder in the root of your game installation folder.
- If for some reason you have a different localized client, edit the enGB part to whatever language your client is
