WotLK Old Character Restoration

Whatever happened to all the old characters before the server merge(?)? Had a bunch of characters on the WotLK servers, such as one on Lord (which now has disappeared). I still have my MoP characters from a couple years back that havent really been touched in anyway. I'm not sure when I logged in last to the WotLK servers (maybe a couple of years ago?), would there be any way of restoring some of these characters?

if you mean since deathwing/ragnaros merge, you can 'merge' the extra characters (if your rag+dw char sum came up above 10) into an alt account now...

if you mean old molten chars... we lost all of those in the moltdown almost 2 years ago

I don't remember server names too well but from what I remember had something like this:

Lord - Piejonk, 80 Priest
Sarg (?) (could have been called rag or deathwing or something) - Skylarwhite, 80 Hunter, Marischrader, 80 Paladin
A bunch of other characters sprinkled all over the place probably.

I realize I could be wrong and that everything was before the moltdown and it just disappeared with it, but I feel like having logged onto Warmane about a year ago to play MoP, I remember seeing my old WotLK characters in my account panel.
