Discount code? Where do we get that?

Hi

Soo how does the discount option work?
Do we receive it from someone or is it a planned event which happens like xmas?

Wondering because every time obtained an item via point collecting system & donation system it asked me for a discount code which obviously I didn't have or knew about it.

Looking forward for the correct answer.
