IS it possible to trade my character for another character? How does it work?

The name is so misleading.

You cannot trade characters using character trade. You can only sell or buy them. Your best chance would be sell the character you have with 20% (not sure) fee and buy the one you want from the market.

I honestly do not know as I have never sold/bought characters, but it seems like (at this moment right now)

cheapest lvl 80 buttnaked DK (Human) is 80-ish coins.

I doubt anyone would buy non80 characters but you could try.

Get your character to level 80.

I agree with Zelda, no one would buy a level 76 Naked character, unless they had Basic Gear, a S ton of Gold, but that will not happen just after the Gold Squish and All their Riding skills, Maxed or Almost Maxed Professions. When I am looking to buy a character, I prefer Naked, Level 80's, Alliance or Horde does not matter, I can change that,, Gold, Max Riding, Max Professions, Exalted Rep is a plus.
As far as the prices for buying changes everyday. Selling depends on what your character has and you need the figure that out yourself. :D
