As the title said, why the hell is scamming a banable offence? I mean if people are dumb enough to get scammed they deserve it. Making it a carebear game where smart people cant trick dumb people feels like a bit of a shame. Especially on a private server.
I mean, look at eve online where you can scam all day long and no one cares, the system works great and it creates no work for the GMs.
So why is scamming something negative on this server, why remove the ***** tax?

You must have a wonderful personality.It's called social sensitivity,which you obviously lack.It is a COMMUNITY.The same rules apply to it as in irl.Try to tell a judge that you can't go to prison just because others were "dumb"(trusting is the good word btw)and you f*cked them over.Let's see,i have 10 scamming *ssholes and 1000 players who are behaving like they should.The choice is an easy one to make,ban the 10 *sshats so that the other 1000 will enjoy playing here and will stay.It's not just common sense,it's beneficial for the server.

I didnt scam, nor did i recieve in any way a ban or similar. I just think that the cuddling of players is stupid and scamming is a valid way of making money that should not get closed down.

Seeing as people try that all the time, (spam mail for example), not really. I mean look at Eve online or other mmos where its allowed, its a none issue and it actually brings the community closer together. If no one is able to scamm/betray you then people not doing that is nothing worth remembering, if people are allowed to do so people that are honest and trustworthy are worth remembering and keeping in mind.

I don't say this, because I have been scammed, but in my opinion scammers are just lazy people.
At least many of the scammers are dumb them self. They don't know how to work the normal way, and are too lazy to do it (or learn it), so they have to work their way to get (for example gold) in other ways. I look at it as dumb people abusing other dumb people, or lazy people abusing dumb people.
Why it should not be legal, well - it destroys a lot of the fun for many that do get scammed. Many people may be new to the game, and it will just be a game breaker if they get scammed and lose everything, because they are new at a game.
Also, if you invest a lot of you time - and you are actually smart in-game, you should not be punished, because you don't know how every single scammer work their way.

At least the coffee makes you happy. In my opinion scamming is not only about directly "value", but also time spent. Time spent farming the gold, and being able to invest the gold/money on something you like. Instead of someone who are lazy stealing it from you without you getting anything good from it.
