I've come to share my experience after the recent changes you made the last week.
Global chanell was never been so empty. I can't find people even for ICC 10.
During past couple days I went to many groups for ICC 10 and after 1 hour+ looking for people all the leaders said one same thing
Quotte:
"No people, sorry"
... and then the few people that were in the group left
I play from the early Molten years and I've never seen the server like this.
I will try to summarize what I see:
- many achievements runs like Naxx, Ulduar, Glory of the hero and many many more because people did it on purpose
- many ICC and RS 10 normal runs where you can find a good group in like 10 minutes
- many 25 normal runs where you can also gather good group faster than you can get 10 players now
- many 25 heroic runs where only the good players pass and where you actually have to learn what to do before you pass the bosses
- players everywhere you go, because everyone did some achievement
- people constantly leveling new characters
- everyone doing tons of different dungeons and raids
Now
- no mass achievement runs, only few players try to make it
- no enough people for any raid, even 10 men
- some crazy mash up from normal and hc runs that makes people give up even easier and leave
- no players in the global world ( for example daily there was tons of new humans leveling )
- the overall fun dramatically dropped
If you look at the big picture that's the truth.
And that's not only my opinion. So many of my in-game friends are telling me the same things.
It eill be ok, people just need to get used to the new raiding system, now just everyone is going with their guildies so they can make the most of their hc save... and, when in pug, just try to convince them to go on more hc bosses, because else they will behave alike irl :( They go once and wipe due to going for the 1st time, and immidiately give up, even some with a ragequit...
Else, i truly hope it was just a bad timing that you ain't seeing new players, perhaps again connecting this with the new bosses; we will see what is going on in a few weeks :) If it is bad, it will be up to the gms to do the best for the realm; if they do not succeed, will at least have our memories (and experience, if looked as an adult!) with the people around...
mist of pandaria is going down. All playing Legion, lich king, vanilla mostly.
hype is over thats all.
MOP will be one of these like TBC,WoD,Cata expansion where will be like 1-2k max player online.
Wait blizzcon, after vanila one server project should reborn again from ashes !!
Also gold rates was droped in MoP here, so meybe because of that ?
And finnaly - if Warmane 1 day recreates another one Wotlk server, but not like that one hardcore-blizzlike with no rdf's and so on server, but Icecrown realm copy made another, then that second Wotlk realm will be full of people also.
MoP like WoD was fail , big fail in WoW history, Legion is a bit better and more promises.
For Warmane what I can say from my own perspectives, abandon WoD, meybe MoP - because its time and money consumer, nothing more, waist of money i mean these days and prepare urselfs for Legion start when blizz realeases next expansion, just warmane could realease Legion, thats all.
Warmane is ok, but warmane needs to move theyr resources where needs thems more, just eleminate these emty, low population servers and make anothers one expansions there with big population, like wotlk and legion in future thats all. For now - cata and mop can stay in this condintions but in future when population will decrease in these x2 expansions do what I said before just in case.
Its just my opinion, u can guys ignore it, nothing wrong in this I dont see. ;)
For me, this system (irrespective of it being blizzlike) has some pros and cons.
On the upside, there is more free 277 gear to be had for pugs, which provides an incentive for the full 264 raiders to join your pugs.
On the downside, however, it's harder to find groups, because people want to keep their saves for their guilds. It's harder to find replacements if someone goes offline in your raid because joining a pug late is such a risk for raiders when it's half of their ICC saves for a week. It makes people greed for loot more so than they already do, as GSB and DBS are such desirable fights in terms of loot. It makes it harder for lower geared tanks to get into raids (they'll get slapped around by Saurfang, so either they need over-geared healers to compensate or their being there denies the rest of the pug the opportunity for heroic tier ten and DBW).
First of all bad topic name, but it doesn't matter. The thing is, everybody got their achievements, so i do not see the actual problem here. It was enough time to get achievements for all characters that you have, so hype is over. Problem with population is that people constantly bash MoP realm and expansion as a whole. It is not bad at all, a lot of content, which is getting fixed, slowly but there is progress. Population is low just because when you login to forums and see people saying this doesn't work this doesn't work bla bla bla.. but in truth many things work. There are bugs i don't say it is 99.9% fixed, but cut them some slack. Say for once hey it is not so bad, and maybe you will see some people actually coming there. The hate is too strong in the community between the expansions. So players themselves are the ones to blame.
Playing both WoTLK and MoP - personally i am very satisfied with both expansions. For the MoP you need a good guild since pugs are not an option.
Stonemade just one thing, there has actually been quite some reason for these posts in the pandaren realm... It has been just posts for quite some time, however with time, people really left (and, honestly, i can't blame them) - it is not just the lack of the old rdfs & raids, but, take ie the toes & msv raids - they were literally impossible to play (msv, there was even a quite long period the first boss was completely undefeatable)... Not even to start with the rdfs...
Besides, Every raid turned into [Link Achievement] one - rip newbies, as i have stated quite some times, even msv & toes (the simplest ones).
I hope that the gms have looked into these things already, and are no longer the case, still, it is a little late now :( The pandaren realm had a really nice setting (not just the gray lk icecrown & barrened stormpeaks), and a nice story (you are actually fighting our beloved Garrosh!), with many new characters (i still can count the seven Sha-s :d); it has a quite interesting global chat, not just lfm icc/voa boe/priest ress, where we even had phylosophical discussions, not to say about the pvp - many people prefer it there rather than the lk type where one sometimes can't even react on time, before releasing...
It has been a long time players were hoping that the devs would look into some of the bugs, however, there are still many 1 year & uncomfirmed ones... WoW is a game of a atory; and a game of social interactions (hence xmog on wotlk); unfortunatelly, on items as well. So, it is not that surprising what is going on...
You guys do understand that an update just hit MoP. Look on Warmane's main page for the changelog - DERP
@OP
With transmog scrolls just being released from the WotLK raids, you are going to have a mixed bunch of people farming raids with their guilds and probably see an increase in PUGs as well.
MOP actually has its very own fanbase, and it's not small. It's a very good expansion; to those that played it and enjoyed it - close to wotlk.
And seeing how there are NO good MOP servers out there, Warmane has a huge oportunity here.
Yes i understand all that, but still when there is a fix you see 0 posts about a good changelog saying WELL DONE STAFF, but if you check section 'General Discussion' you will find topics Bug this, bug that, this doen't work, this need fix, GM PLS DO THIS... this is double standards :/ i am playing on Warmane since a long time now (from 2009). I have to be honest here - i tried like 200 pservers, both smaller in scale and up to two times larger, but believe me when i say despite all the bugs i've never seen more stable server than Warmane. When something is labeled as fixed it is like 80% - 90% to what it should be like, on other servers when something is labeled as scripted it is like anywhere from 30% (Tank n Spank + One spell) to 60%. Sure there have been ups and downs, but if it's own community wont help by being SOMETIMES tankful instead of EVERY TIME QQ than maybe this would be a different story. The thing i learned through these years is if you give them some time, they will come on top of every situation. Spread love not hate <3 ^_^
I am not sure what server you are playing on Tinkerbell but yesterday I went to Violet Hold to complete a quest and there were tons of people outside of it.
Also Stonemade, there is a thing called the Bugtracker. Instead of people griping and complaining about a bug, they can get more results by going to the bugtracker and actually posting information about it there. The developers do not monitor the forums for the bug information, they utilize the bugtracker, that's what it is there for.
I would also like to mention that you guys may want to read the rules for the forum, as posting to get staffs attention, and things of that nature are listed there.
Not sure why you guys are complaining. I just logged on and in global I see multiple people recruiting for 5 man heroics, a few ICC groups etc. Looks pretty normal to me. If you are unable to join a raid there is probably an issue that is not other people fault. If it is something where they can't fill certain roles, that is normal and people need to be patient.
Otherwise learn to use your social skills and start a raid yourself. Don't always rely on other people to do things for you.
What? The globabl chat is moving so fast you can't even read it. There are literaly thousands of people chatting there, looking for raids, instances, rep runs. I have no idea what you're talking about. Bad troll is bad.
