Icecrown Marketplace Points Change - Returning Player Question

Hi, I've been saving my vote points and voting almost daily because I wanted to get the NON-heroic version of http://www.wowhead.com/item=50730/gl...he-silver-hand. I save my points but when I have enough, I try to buy it and it turns out that the point shop had been completely squished.

Don't mean this in a demanding why, but why with this squish? Didn't the gold and rates get squished, why is Icecrown moving towards harder to get items--I thought Lorderan was the hard legit server and Icecrown was for the streamlined process to end game?

Any chance for players who didn't get their items to have chance to buy these again, maybe as a Christmas bonus?

I'm just so confused what purpose "aligning" the points shop with other servers is, are not all servers different and serve different audiences?

None. People were given three days to make use of their points before the change, and that was the last of it.
