Technical How to download patches?

Hi all,

Im trying to ultimately setup an icecrown server. Having not played in years I had originally uninstalled anything wow related. So using my old disks I reinstalled original wow, BC and WOTLK.

Now when I try to login using warmane, I get an error indicating I havent downloaded the required patches (I need 3.3.5a but only have 3.01 installed).

So now I have to download those patches again, ive tried activating the patch downloaders in my WoW file (for example theyre named: WoW-3.0.1-to-3.0.2-enUS-Win-Update-downloader.exe), but these wont start downloading and say the tracker is not responding.

Any ideas on how to do this to play warmane?

The easiest method is to use Warmane's own client (use the Old one for original WoTLK, and the 'new' one for WoTLK with WoD model, which is quite buggy). The hardest method I can suggest is to look for manual patcher in google

I can't open the web due to network limitation but this might contain the patches you need

What is a "client"? Is that downloading the whole base game?

your Wotlk client do NOT need any patch if it is already 3.3.5a.
You just need to log-in by using warmane account name, not email address; if you log-in with email it tries to download Cataclysm patch

It is 3.01 atm, not 3.3.5a
