Questions/Help about Local Backup

Hi,

I have seen the option to make a local backup of my account, but I dont understand how it works..

I clicked on the option "backup now", and it started and finished, but now, it says me "Last backup: 1 week ago (backup now)", and i dont know where the backup file is, what I should do if I need to backup my account, if its done correctly..

Can someone explain me (or tell me where I can find the information) how it works exactly?

you need to go here: https://www.warmane.com/account/security and once the backup file is done you can click on "donwload" to download the file and store it on your pc.

it will be available for download for 7 days, after that you need to create a new backup

Also, this back-up is for our use in case some catastrophic database failure happens or the like. It's something we will ask of players if a time where it's needed ever comes. It's in no way meant to be used on player request or anything like that, i.e. if someone steals your account and deletes everything in it, this back-up won't be used to restore anything, for example.
