1. VoA GS demands

VoA is designed to be a fresh 80, easily facerolled with undergeared players type of thing. it doesnt require anything close to 5K or more GS, not only that, but why is someone who is geared for ICC already going to be running VoA with 24 other people who are also geared for ICC?

i dont want to sound like im whining, even if thats what this is(i prefer to call it complaining and clamoring for others to use some common sense). I just dont understand what would make someone demand so much from players who are trying to run a minimal-requirement mini-raid. when WOTLK was live, VoA was ran with mostly players decked out in regular dungeon blues and quest rewards, but on this server it is demanded that you are geared to the point that you have successfully run the final raid tier multiple times.

  2. First boss - yes. Each boss has "increased difficulty". To beat soft-enrage on last boss you will need players with T9 sets and such.

  3. GS demands overall on Icecrown are high. Haven't found it too hard to gear up to 5k via fos/pos/hor and eot but after that it's been very slow going. The gap between 5k and 5.8k or so has been painful.

  4. how about this, you make your own raid? problem now solved and no need for QQ in forums.
what wonders thinking for one second does... amazing..

  5. Do u know what bosses drop? ICC geared ppl want gear from 25 cuz it drops t10 sanctified gear. Thats eof gear upgraded with 25n icc tokens off an easy boss. And fire drops t10 eof gear. And 10n ice also drops t10 eof gear. So yes thats why we do them they also drop 2 eof. And we dont do the other ****ty bosses as theyre useless. Ok bai have a great time

  6. 1: get tanks with blue gear and watch the get oneshot repeatedly. bosses hit hard
2: reach enrage timers and many frost stacks with low dps.
3: the pnt to make ur own raid alrdy stated. only done archavon in raids ive made. gona make a grp to include emalon this week for ach. u could potentially make a run with blue geared players just to kill archavon but doin fos/pos just as gd.

  7. Here I go again.
VoA is a 3.5k raid if you're gonna do stone boss and leave it at that.
Even then you'll probably get 3k tanks with some dps, some caster items (a common thing these days on icecrown) and they will get raped, 3k healers will have a hard time healing it up ofc too.
It's ~4-4.4k if you're doing storm, but it has some super complicated tactic. (not at all, but pugs dont know anything other than their "rotation" which is 1-2-3-3-3-3-1-2-3-3-3 etc)
Fire does a lot of dmg now with some halfway serious AOE so yea, go for that with 3k tanks and healers, gl. You must get some really nice tanks for that case it can hit ~27k on some solid tanks.

Frost stacks are also quite mean these days so you also need a nice tank healer and some raid healers cause those ******ed melee dps just cant move to the side to avoid an orb, no way.

    Each boss requires about this:
-previous tier gear from the one that it drops on most DPS/healers, tanks should be a bit better in most cases, but not that mandatory just not to get one shot.
-if you're really going for a boss with much worse gear than you should then you gotta know the tactic to avoid some dmg and be of some use if possible.

  8. If you want to do VoA with the 'minimum' required GS, join a guild that is willing to form a core group that knows the tactics. For PuG's, however, there is no other indication of their skill besides gs. If there was a metric, like an IQ, to measure that someone with 4k gs is valuable to the raid because of skill, then it might make sense to form with lower requirements.

When all I (as a VoA/Icc leader) know about you is that you are below my 4.5k gs threshold and there are many other folks asking to join above that, why would I choose you?

On 1 tangent - The reason I don't carry people, despite 1 or 2 4k gs's not making a difference, is that you are competing with useful members of the raid for the same items which isn't fair.
