1. Keeping questing interesting

    Let me start off by saying I'm fairly new to WoW,

    A friend and I are about to create new characters and play together on this server. If anyone has advise on how to keep the questing experience fun and interesting, please share your input.

    It would be greatly appreciated, because, whenever we start to play an MMO together, the 'MMO questing formula' (That is, fetching random items, killing mobs, and just running being overall errand boys for the NPCs) begins to bog down the overall experience. And, as far as I know, errand running, or 'questing', is required to level up. And high levels are required to get to the fun stuff such as; dungeon crawling, raids, pvp, killing bosses, getting loot, etc.

    TLDR; Me and my friend are starting our adventure in WoW tomorrow, and I would like to know if anyone has tips on how to endure the tedious and repetitive leveling, and make it enjoyable.

    All replies are appreciated.

  2. Dungeons are actually available when you hit 15, and Battleground PvP at 10 (I think). Icecrown will probably have people queueing in RDF, as well as Frostwolf. Lordaeron have them disabled though, and people apparently would rather quest up rather than doing dungeons unless the quest is in the dungeon itself. Lower bracket BG will probably be teeming with high geared twinks.

    As I've said earlier, reading the quest text makes things a little bit interesting, but until you hit 60, don't expect any heavily scripted stuff like they did in Cataclysm (which Warmane is still struggling to get right)

    One time I tried roleplaying while questing, with that SpeakinSpell addon, and it did make stuff interesting, at the price of being chatblocked when I fight and talk at the same time.... and people going wtf every time I fight close to them.

    You can also get into a guild, social levelling one for example, to talk about stuff while you go around. You can also make one, but you need 10 people to sign up the charter.

  3. Hello again, thanks for the reply!

    This is extremely helpful, and I'll keep all of these things in mind, but there's one thing that I don't quite understand;
    How would I que for a dungeon? I've leveled a character before this up to around level 22 (I don't remember exactly) and I didn't see any way to enter dungeons, or pvp at all.

  4. Press I for dungeon finder and H for PvP if you haven't changed key bindings for those. You also have icons/buttons for those at the bottom of your screen if you aren't using any addons that hide them.

  5. If Dungeon Finder is disabled however, you will have to travel to the entrance on foot. It is indicated by a swirling tornado portal. Blue for dungeon, green for raid, red for PvP (though this is ignorable since PvP queue is never disabled)
