Recently deleted character, name unavailable

So I just deleted a character with a name let's say "Wow123name" from my account and wanted to create a new one with the exact same name but the game's telling me that that the name is unavailable. What's going on?

Not the first time I hear someone having this problem, I'd guess it's a bug.

This seems like a bug. Ive put down so many names and still unavailable :/ I just wanna make my Dudu with cool name

cleanup glitch.
if you rename a toon, however, you will be allowed to choose your desired name.

I ran into the same problem, is a server restart the only fix? and if so when can i expect this to happen, as i am trying to make my character/s.
