1. Make TBC server! read this!

Hi, the great server "**********" shutdown recently after only two weeks. After two weeks it already got over 4000 players actively playing. Therefore we need a new home, and we ask you "Warmane" to host the next great Burning Crusade server. Also maybe you guys could talk to the owners of "**********" and make a deal where they can give you their database and restore our lost characters, thanks for reading...

    Yours..

  2. There is indeed no good TBC private server out there. I guess there is a small chance that Warmane might work on a TBC realm when the Wotlk development is mostly done,
Warmane stated multiple times though that they only want to move forward and not backward. So the chance that they will focus on MoP or even Legion is probably higher.

  3. Agree with you! But as Jakkre said, Warmane has told us many times that they won't go backward, only forward. I think that is pretty sad, because it is easier to script older content - and that will make it easier to script the current server's older content. And as we know, the older content is more wanted by the population in general.

By going forward, they are only giving themself more to script, and the quality will become lower (Yes, I know they have focus on Woltk now for example). Still we can't deny that there is always room for improvement. Going backwards are only going to help - as soon as they are done with wotlk. Then the Wotlk server's TBC and Vanilla content can be improved too, while adding the extra realms. If they ever are going to do that.

Hope Warmane may some day reconsider that choise.

  4. Perhaps in a future not so far away, you'll find out why my heart is torn.

  5. LF The Burning Crusade private server, disperately
    +1

  6. Edit: In the nature of good discussion and the community's interest, I'll re-open this.

  7. I'm also personally curious. If you guys were to get a TBC realm, what sort of realm features would you choose? Rates? Progressive perhaps?

  8. High-rated server like Icecrown would be perfect.

  9. Promotion rates of x2-x3 for the first two months to encourage migration, after which basically lordaeron.

The highlight of TBC was pretty much... TBC itself. The pick of the lot for me would most definitely the epic storyline and structured progression, leading into what was statistically speaking the hardest raid in WoW's history (some comment by a blizz employee in the past stated that only 1% of the playerbase even managed to attempt/access/getpast1boss, or something like that). Every quest seemed connected to each other, even more so than what we see in Wrath. The whole attunement process through progression actually let people experience all the content that the expansion had to offer. (Debatable as sunwell and zul'aman provided players with a shortcut to be raid-ready), but prior to that, it was nothing short of epic. Add on less streamlining and the fact that the game didn't do so much for you back then both in terms of mechanics and QoL, and when trash clears had to be planned, unique boss mechanics (wrath mechanics in terms of concept are very much recycled, and you know it) you really had to be good, to be good.

EDIT: I mean, what other expansion had a process to fully immerse you in the story and give you a sense of purpose as to why you're going into the lion's den to kill a boss; an attunement such as this?

Well since leveling in Burning Crusade was the absolute worst thing ever, I'd go with at least 10x, progressive would be nice.

I would prefer a progressive x1 realm similiar to lordaeron because then developers have enough time to fix everything in a proper way.

A high rate realm with pushed content would probably lead to something similiar to Neltharion or Frostwolf quality wise and that would be a step backward compared to the quality of our Wotlk realms.

  12. Sounds amazing.I trust warmane could make a ballin BC server. I ve seen a lot of warmane players on other servers ( vanilla , tbc) and I think they will come back + a ton of other players from vanilla servers that want to make a natural progression into TBC. 3-5x server would be amazing no instant stuff cuz people aren't going to take it serious!. I ve noticed a loss of faith in Warmane and a step back in time to TBC might be a step forward Warmane community.
P.S: If you support a Warmane Burning Crusade server make sure you express it by leaving a reply so that we can see if there are people intrested.

    I support this!

  14. First off, I'd like to see how Lordaeron will do after ICC and "possible" rdf feature releases. Probably that would help to choose which rates (lvl/gold/item drop/etc) you would like to set up based on the population from the wotlk servers. But I would personally vote for a server similar with Icecrown, and a vanilla one perhaps, since it was the first and probably the most liked expansion. But if I get the feeling that most people would prefer tbc over vanilla then I won't put it in discussion.

  15. Aye, Tbc realm with rates like icecrown or higher (like x7 or x10) would be amazing and would definitely have high population.
