Today I found out that quoting does not count towards post's text length. I find it very counterintuitive and illogical. You can surely answer someone by quoting an/some other post/s. Why would it not count towards your message and why you can even get a warn for answering someone with a quoted message? I really fail to understand.
So, my suggestion, obviously, is that quoting as an answer cannot be punished by a warning.
(I want to make clear that I am in favor of the rule to avoid "no" "yes" etc messages).
Quoting isn't a message of your own. If quoting counted, we'd just get people quoting and posting "no," "yes," "+1," "lol" and such, which you say you agree with not being allowed. Type a message of your own with over ten characters with your quote (how hard is that?).
