So I'm trying to log in but it seems i've been banned for advertising, the only thing I did differently yesterday is that I logged in using a vpn because my university internet blocks online games.

You'll need to send an email to [email protected] instead. The ban on your account will be removed, but I don't think the one for the VPN does (since it being banned means it was recurrently used to break our rules), so you might want to keep alternatives in mind.

I've sent the mail, thank you for helping. Does this mean I won't be able to connect using vpn services? Or it just happened that this ip was banned?

There are VPNs that aren't banned (at least yet), but I don't have any sort of list, nor believe one would ever be provided, considering the reasons for the bans in the first place. If you use VPNs, this could happen again. No clue if Support sets a limits to how many times it will be offered help with.
