1. A great suggestion

    Hello community,

Everyone has been a witness how some people are joining raids and then they leave after 2 bosses or so because the boss didn't drop their loot or they didn't get it. It makes a lot of people quit the game.

I'm suggesting you to make bans like this (Of course that has to be proven with screenshots):
Leaving one raid - just a warning,
Leaving two raids - 2 days ban
Continuously leaving - 15 days ban.

Exactly like LoL learned people to not leave. That will learn the people to be polite and to respect the others, exactly like you did with ninjas I'm sure a lot of people will accept it.

  2. Banning ninjas in raids is something epic in warmane .I'm suggesting to continue such an action on leavers too . It should be easy .

At first i want to talk about necessity to having such a thing . I'm aware that 25 people is not in the same condition when they login to game ( time , knowledge ... ) . But if there is no tools to determine their enthusiasm to doing a raid then playing this game will be frustrated for at least half of those 25 players . Dear warmane Staffs believe me this is very annoying .

My idea is giving people some sort of rank and leavers should have bad karma so everyone will notice that player is a leaver .

Q : What happens to people with less time for play the game ?
A : Low Karma ( Or bad Karma ) players can group up with each other to start the raid .

I'm Interested to read others idea about having such a tool in warmane .

  3. I admin with that. That's the greatest idea given. The pug raids are horrible. They are killing 3,4 bosses and RO because someone didn't get loot or he wanted to do abom but the tank had to.

  4. Exactly like LoL learned people to not leave.
LoL has such feature because when a player leaves he can not be replaced and opposite team has advantage because of that. Here you can replace them and you don't lose anything because you are missing a player for a part of the raid.

There can be different reasons for leaving raid. Some of them are more valid than just not getting the item you wanted.

Also it can not be automated so you will have to report them yourself. How are you planning to prove that the player left and was not kicked? And how will you prove that he did not inform you before raid that he has limited amount of time available for raid? Length of a LoL game is much more predictable. WoW raids can have hours of wiping. Should everyone who leave after hours of wipes get a warning or ban?

  5. I just investigated some games with similar tools and i found something that already working .

After the raid is over ( fail or successful ) players can give positive flag ( like Vote up ) or negative flag ( like thumb down ).

If you flagging someone with thumb down you have to select your reason . Because of big data could come from reports there could be 3 ( or more ) pattern to select . for example ( disrespecting , trolling , AFK or leaving and ... ) . This data can be easily analyze because it already categorized .

There is a problem with that. It would require client modifications. It can not be done with a regular WoW client. Warmane has not done anything like that before (WoD and Legion character models in wotlk client does not count, that's different kind of modifications) and it could be very complicated. Also, you can not make everyone download a modified client so effectiveness of such tools would be limited.

  7. Anyone0 is here absolutely right. Everything he said.
And after all, you didn't mention a guild. Man, and everyone who is triggered by this, get a guild (There is a big number of progressive guilds, as well "for alt guilds", doing lower and some HC bosses) if you are tired of others leaving, bad behaviour etc. That can be pretty easy solved within guild.

  8. Make boss lockouts instead of ID Lockouts if thats possible like on retail.

  9. Assuming this refers mostly to ICC - Might I suggest trying something else before resorting to drastic measures?

You could announce before the first boss that you will be distributing all the loot at the end of the raid.
    This incentivizes 2 things:
    1) To get things done fast (out of fear of items becoming no longer tradeable after the 2-hour mark).
    2) To stick around until the end (or at least for nearly 2 hours).

Now if the raid gets slow, obviously you'll have to distribute the loot around 1:50 hours in. Either way, you successfully kept a 'leaver' in raid for ~2 hours!
You cannot expect people to consistently stay after that point anyway, but at least you won't "RO @ Precious" or spend ~30 minutes finding replacements in-between bosses.

Even if you don't implement this during the whole raid, try to at least do it for The Plaguewerks wing in ICC, since most of the BiS gear for all classes drops from there. That's why there's almost always a wave of leavers after it.

That said, it's best to just join a guild. ^.^

  10. Ppl leaving can be caused because lots of factors and i find amusing you want to punish ppl puggin and figuring out the raid sux.
10 wipes later dps is trash , tank had enugh , leaves.
DPSers wich are trash , gets tank banned , lul.
Join a guild or pick better pugs.

  11. If you want organised, successful raids where everyone performs well and nodoby leaves after 1 wipe - join a guild.

Let PuGs be PuGs - a place for casuals/noobs to fool around, coming and going as they please. There's nothing wrong with that.

  12. Good idea.

Also add 10 day ban to people who mouse-turn. Send video reports.
Maybe Warmane should ban everyone and only unban after you send screenshot with proof that you use macros.
5 day ban to people who heal during duels.
30 day ban for playing a DK.
Permanent ban people with ping over 200. Unban only after their ISP sends letter to Warmane with explanation.

  13. oh oh, wait, i got a few things I'd like to see banned:
    - hpalas with no beacon or beacon on themselves in PVE
    - resto druids who spam regrowth
    - hunters and rogues no using TOTT or MD
    - people who stick around for rolls to finish instead of moving like they got a bigger chance to win if they're close

And the list goes on. What happens if I get a power cut? It's currently really stormy outside, it might happen tonight. If I spill boiling coffee on myself and leader decides my 60s afk was too long? If a family member gets sick and needs to go to the hospital?
Keep your **** ideas to yourself or just stick that that god forsaken trash game which is as good as the name itself: lol.
