Hello, I'm fairly new to the lorederon server, and wanted to try something diffrent.
After leveling my hunter all the way up to level 15, I was hoping to be able to do some dungeons to gear up and catch up on some levels because question non-stop to get levels was getting pretty repetitive and boring. Then, I felt like a complete noob not realizing that Lorederon had disable the dungeon finder. So I was just wondering to any of those veteran Lorderon players out there, how did you join dungeon instances with a party if dungeons are even possible to do on this server, and how did you efficiently level up and get better gear? Because now that I'm level 20, questing has gotten very boring and somewhat challenging with the very low level gear these quests reward you with.
Hey there, I see you are either new to the private server scene (BC / Vanilla), started playing WoW late WotLK or later, or have played pvt. server WotLK with RDF. Well as you probably know RDF wasn't introduced to WoW until late WotLK. So on retail those who played WotLK from the start never had RDF and did it by looking for other players to group up and do the dungeons together. It built a sense of community in WoW from Vanilla to WotLK which deteriorated (imo) with the introduction of RDF and later LFR.
Well coming to your question, join the chat channels: /global or /world or /lookingforgroup. Surely one of these 3 channels will be active and you can make your own group by asking around for fellow players to join you or you can ask for an invite in case someone else is looking for players to do that dungeon. As you meet up more players and keep an eye on Guild ads on the channel, you can join their guilds which increases your chances of finding players at your level within the guild to do dungeons.
If you are new to this, just give it a try and you will have fun and learn more by creating and leading groups or joining and assisting them and the game slows down and you will enjoy running up to dungeons with groups, having conversations with random strangers and if you are lucky making casual friendships :)
Another thing you can do is look up players within you level range using /who, then whisper them asking if they want to do a dungeon.
So for example for Wailing Caverns you want players between level 20 and 30, so do a /who 20-30 and whisper each of them you find.
You should also go get the relevant quests for the dungeon you will be doing.
RDF was not out but the dungeon finder that was in BC was still out at the start of LK im pretty sure. The one we have on the bc servers now, which at least let you show 3 dungeons you were interested in and it would at least but you on that list and others could then see who was looking for that same dungeon. Only thing is not everyone really uses it but it does work and can be helpful. I dont know if it works on the LK server though since it shows you having RDF in game but it isnt enabled
