Hey. So i am new to Wow, but i am really hooked and i love learning everything new in the game.
Straight to the point. I am a level 80 dwarf prot pally, 2.5 gs. At this part of the game i am aware that i should start doing heroic dungeons so i can get better gear. My question is , what is the requirement for entering FoS , for example? It says im not eligible and have to get better gear. How much better , to be exact? And if someone is willing to answer, what is the best way to get it at this point?

Hello. Well I'm not sure about fos pos but I think it's around 4K gs. It's a lot, I know. Well I would say buy some gear from the auction house which should bring ur gs up to 3k or 3.5kish. After that u just have to farm heroic dungeons. Since ur a tank it shouldn't be much of a pain to find a grp. If u fall short of money do some quests cause u get a lot more gold when u are level 80. Haha thats exactly how i have 2.5k right now. 90% of my items are from the auction house. Well then ill just have to complete loads of quests to get gold for epic gear since i dont think rare will bring me up to 3-3.5 k . Thanks for you opinion

You can do FoS/PoS normal at that gs if you find a decent group. But definitely not heroics. Another suggestion would be to find a decent guild. If you find a good guild, they'll help you out and carry you. Which WotLK realm btw?

I am playing on Icecrown. I cant even do FoS/PoS even on normal , when i try to join it says im not eligible with my current gear, thats why i posted thread xD . Otherwise i think i have found a decent guild .

You don't need to use dungeon queue to join FoS/PoS. Just sit outside of FoS/PoS and you'll see people spam, especially for tanks. I'll even help you out.

Since thats the case this was what i was missing then. That said, i havent had any problems with dungeons so far, even with Ahune which was actually my toughest fight. I am following this guide http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=325554 and so far its pretty fun being a tank. Do you need any significant skills as a tank to cope well with FoS ? And again thanks for your help

Honestly at that point of GS, I recall I did reputations to get gear haha. Get Addon called Atlast Loot and there you can see every raid/dungeon pvp gear etc and where you get them and their stats. Hc fos/pos with your GS won't happen at the moment, that's for sure, So back to what i said about reputation, search up which items you need from reputation and do that, then you can start in normal fos/pos and from that to HC. Also remember to vote every day too, you can use them to get some items after too.

I decided to farm fos pos and after completing the questline to go for hor. In the meantime i will upgrade professions for more g and then see how things will turn out

Hi fellow tank, i was looking your talents and i HIGHLY sugests you to get SEAL OF COMMAND, it is a life change for pala tanks in 5 mans and in raids where you need to take lots of adds, with happy triger dpsers who are mostly overgeared and dont have patience to wait you build treath, so the morons will die in a heartbeat and start name calling you. Also get glyph of hammer of rightous too.

Already at 4.1k gs. Thanks for your advice ill keep it in mind. The hc fos and pos unlocks at around 3.7-3.8k gs if anyone is wondering. Spec, i am using seal of vengeance for now since with its glyph it gives me +10 expertise rating and i currently need it because it would otherwise be very low.
