WotLK "Echeyakee" quest mob doesn't show up?

It's a quest in the Crossroads. I am a Hunter and would like this mob as my pet. I go to where he always is, blow the "Horn of Echeyakee" and it keeps saying "requires Echeyakee's lair" but I am in the right spot. Is this a bug?

Try fiddling around the spot, trying out some weird positions. Some quests require a very specific spot thats quite often hard to find. If it doesn't work, check if its bugged on the bugtracker.
