Gold farming

mining/skinning/herbalism are always good. you can collect as you kill, and high level players are too lazy to farm the mats on their own. For a while, i was farming mobs in Cyrstalsong Forest and Grizzly Hills. There seemed to be almost no one there. I could spend tons of time killing stuff with never a soul in sight.

Also, farm mobs that drop good items for professions. First thing that comes to mind are the Worgs for the Worg Meat. Great for high level Cooking recipes and the extra vendor trash sells nicely. Grizzly hills has quite a few pockets of the Worgs that you can bounce between and have the first group respawn by the time you get back (forget where, but I know there's a bunch by one of the Horde spots).

Professions, trade ins (frozen orbs for eternals), low level gear (level 10 to 30), cooking supplies. Like on this Christmas I made near 10k gold by selling Small eggs. Cooking items for me make the most gold since it's least competition. Everything else out there is over farmed. I wish they wiped non soulbound/quest items once every few years to clear peoples full guild banks of materials. Demand right now is crazy low. Or even wiping peoples enchants and gems of their gear would help.
