WotLK Warmane client destroying my WiFi bandwidth

Hey i don't know if this is common with this client but if i'm playing on my laptop (2018 Lenovo legion y720) and using wifi the warmane wow client totally destroys any extra bandwidth while it is running. If WoW is running, even in the background, i literally cant run a web browser at any usable speed. Without WoW running a speed test puts my wifi speed at 45 mbps download and 30 upload. With WoW running I get 0.02 mbps download and 25 upload. As soon as I close WoW the bandwidth snaps back to normal. This has been consistent since I started playing. If I play on my desktop which is hardwired to the router I have no problem at all but for some reason on WiFi this game eats way more than GTA5, Counterstrike, LoL, basically anything else out there.

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or a workaround. Its just frustrating because I cant play any music in the background or look up a youtube video while the wow client is open.
