Coming back after years. Which class is better for solo casual play?
Hi all', i'm coming back to wow after years but i don't have that much time to play anymore. So, which class is better for solo/casual play? I want to play rogue but i don't know if it's good for this ( i will do pvp and pve). I read paladin is good too. What do you suggest me? Thanks all
For Solo/Casual play, I found Feral Druid to be the best. You can easily do all the quests, including group quests. For gathering quests in Outland and Northrend, you don't even have to land or fight the mobs near your quest items.
Since you'll be doing PvE as well, Druid offers way more versatility than rogue ever could. You can go Mdps, Rdps, Tank or Heal.
Paladin is a bit slow on Leveling and lacks CC to perform great in PvP. You won't die, but you won't be able to stop others from running away either.
Death knight, might be hard to grasp at first how they work but absolutely OP while leveling and soloing if you know the class.
(Imo my favorite class and I gave all 10 classes AND speccs a real go for the past 9 years here.)
Rogue is a very good class and actually the best damage dealer in game at "bis" gear, the choise of stealth also helps you greatly in pve or leveling, want to skip some mobs? NP, PvP is alot of fun as a rogue too, but for soloing PvE stuff they are pretty weak.
Hunters can heal their pet for eternity, as long as you check the pets aggro, Missdirect the aggro to it, swap to aspect of the viper if u need more mana to heal pet, (get a tank pet, gorilla or turtle while leveling, they take much less damage and for elite mobs you stand much higher chanse) the encounter can go on for a very long time, Not that it's needed to since hunters deal just about the most single target dmg of all classes while leveling, but i guess that's why everyone sais they are the nr1 class to level.
Paladins are quite boring to level honestly, alot of melee swings with abilities on cool down, but at max level they become much more fun.
Paladins got ALOT of love from blizzard but they had to not make them too op so they are right in between how odd that may sound,
You can instantly flash of light yourself with a procc from retribution (dps tree) and it proccs very often, if you use sacred shield on urself at the same time, not only do you reduce all damage income from the shield but when flash of lighting, you'll get a very strong healing over time effect from that too, combine this with judgement of light and the healing is ridiculous, as a damage user.
Anyhow I can go on with every class what pros and cons they have for casual / solo play but to be truly honest, All classes is fairly good if you optimize the gameplay. A hunter might be the best class to level but I seen countless of them dying over and over again from very noobish things, like pet loosing aggro or sending pet into a fight while pulling 3 other mobs at the same time.
