[ANSWERED]AQ 20/40 mining nodes

Hey, are the mining nodes for http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Large_Obsidian_Shard actually scripted on outland?

Im asking because we recently did retro raids one of us wants to craft that AQ blacksmith shield with chance on spellreflect, therefore those shards are needed. However after several runs we didnt get a single node drop (theyre supposed to spawn after certain enemies die next to their corpse) which seems odd because theyre supposed to drop frequently in AQ40 at least.
