1. A quick ban, on my account

    Dear Warmane-Team and other readers,

As a result of ninja loot, I have been banned.
A 5 day ban, because I pressed "need" on a ring that apparently is meant to be needed for tanks only.
I can understand, that the person who needed this ring too, got rather angry on me as the winner,
because he was in an aggressive mood throughout the entire dungeon. But as I was able to press "need",
I did so, because the system made me able to, I didn't feel doing anything wrong.
The person that also needed it, was harrasing me and showing bad behaviour throughout the entire dungeon.
I don't understand that the Staff member, looked over this, so loose-handed and ignorant. An overlook on the full
chat of the dungeon, would easily make him understand, why this "ninja-loot" has occured.
    I feel treated very unfairly.

I want to apologize, as this is the first time I've ever been banned, that I'm sorry for showing bad behaviour towards the loot system.

I hope that I could give a better vision of my view and that I will be able to play again soon.

    Regards.

    Zanarith

  2. You will be able to play soon, in 5 days.
What you did does classify as ninja, you're not supposed to need on anything you can, loot system just checks if you can equip the item.
You need items for your class AND spec, so str/crit for plate DPS, agi/crti for leather DPS, and int/sp for leather casters and so on, cba to do the combos, you get it.

As a DPS you have to ask, or at least announce, you'll roll for tank at the start, if they don't agree they can and should replace.
Same goes for the opposite, you're tanking but wanna roll DPS or heal or other combos.

  3. This sounds like (only from your side) that you needed an item that only tanks (should) be wearing as a DPS or healer... not sure of your class/spec or the exact arrangements of the dungeon but if its RDF/RHC and you're a warr/dk/druid/pala and COULD wear it for tanking **** that guy. Otherwise **** you. Sure it's questionable to take it if the tank really does need it or you can't realistically use if (ie. you're a mage) but to me "Ninja in Dungeon" is stupid if you que for a random and would imply you set masterloot, looted and logged off or /ignored the dude. Warmane really needs some clear standards as to what is and isn't ninja looting. I roll need on dungeon gear if nobody needs it because I DE it. I always offer if people need it they can have it even for OS since I don't wanna ruin their gearing process but I should be able to benefit from my professions the same way LWs skin mobs/bosses.

  4. What I was saying is, a staff member should be more qualified in order to be authorized to ban players, since we are your customers playing actual money. As my "ninja"-looting action was a crime, so was his verbal language and harassment!
What about disenchanting roll? Non-enchanters stole all my disenchanting material, by pressing "disenchant"-loot. The system makes it possible, but is it fair? To be honest, this is a very critical situation, in which higher educated people should look after, in order to really consider a fair solution. Ofcourse you can not expect that on a private server!

Simply punishing a reported player for 5 days, easy handled. Very low quality of support in my opinion!
Warmane-staff, please be democratic, and before responding to a report, watch both parties?

  5. If u are enchanter and u need on dung items for disenchanting purposes it can be considered ninja loot, bcs if 1 member of party is enchanter everyone has disenchant button avibile so i guess it's supposed to be disenchanted option for everyone if no one needs it,bcs otherwise enchanters could spam rdf all day and get tons of maths witch would have negative inpaact on economy i guess, and as for lw they are unable to skin anything in dungeons at all,u can look it up on bug tracker it's a very big issue here but i think warmane turned that off as well bcs of the economy.

  6. so was his verbal language and harassment!
Screenshot and report if you believe it's ban worthy.

That is what's fair, you being an enchanter doesn't make all the loot yours for you to get the materials. Don't be greedy.

They are qualified, they've been doing this for years day in day out, unlike you, unlike me.
What you did was wrong, and now you know not to hit need unless you need the item actually.
Needing for disenchanting is wrong, needing to sell it to the vendor is wrong.
BOEs are a gray area I guess, see if the group hits need, then you hit need too, if they hit greed you hit greed too.
