    Spell Effect on Blood Elf

    So, I have around a level 45 BE Paladin, and I've noticed that when spell effects are cast on any Blood Elf character (not just me) that the effect is much larger than the normal spell effect. Roots will take up almost the whole screen, Frost Novas are bigger than my character. Does anyone have any ideas whats going on here?
