Burning Crusade Friend Missing from Friend List

Good Morning,

I know this might seem like a dumb question but here it goes:

I've been questing daily with a really friendly dude i met on the server, today i logged in and he seems to be missing from my friend list.
Do you have any way of knowing what happened to him? I cant remember his name but i think it was Slinkais or something, level 58 human paladin.

Characters usually disappear from friends list when they are deleted or when they change faction. You can find him on armory, he is in same guild as you so I assume that's the right character: http://armory.warmane.com/character/...utland/summary

He might have deleted and restored his character or changed faction twice.

Sadly i dont think hes the same. I must have confused his name... 2 days ago he was a level 58 human paladin. Do you have any way of knowing his true character name? Im just asking this because he was really friendly and we've been questing since level 30 and were making plans for Outland questing and dungeoning ahahaha.

You can't find his name anywhere, unless you have some addon that has saved it. Or maybe you have some screenshots with his name?

Do you know if player names you have interacted with get stored in the cache files? I might be able to restore them and try to edit them to find the name.
Other than that, i dont have party addons or anything.... so yeah. rest in peace level 58 friendly Latvian paladin, it was an honor.

I don't think character names get saved anywhere by default. Slinkais is a word in Latvian so it might be the same person but on a different character.

Hmmm, strange, ill ask him when i get online! Still sad since i lost my leveling buddy and hes now a level 70 ahahaha oh well.

Mystery solved.... He deleted his original character, bought a level 70 priest and renamed it....
