Burning Crusade several chat channels are not working

Hello... just joined

I have noticed that several of the chat channels are not working for me.. not sure how to fix this

the only chat i am able to use is /s

i have addons.. and yes i have disabled all addons to check and see if that is an issue and is always the same.

also when i say it not working what i mean is.. when i type for example

/6 LF social guild.

i get no report of that in my chat box.. however ia m unsure if its broadcasting or not?

Right click on chat tab name (default one is called "General") and select "Settings". There you can choose which chat channels you want to see.

thank you for that timely reply.. i should have added some more information

i did however do as you suggested and those are all checked.. as such i can see everyone else chatting in global it just when i add a comment to be broadcast in general i cannot see it .. so i am not sure if its actually being broadcast.

If you have just started playing, you might not be able to use chat channels til around level 20.

ok .. thanks.. yeah i was suspecting that.. but if anyone can chime in and confirm that? that would be great so i can stop trying to figure this out..

Need to be level 19 or 20 to do so. Also make sure it's right number when you're trying to send message to global. On some of my chars the global is either /4, /5, or /6.
