Cataclysm Won't Enter A Realm

I've downloaded the Cataclysm server as i have done for the other wow servers bc and wrath all work fine but for some reason when i type my details into the login screen on the cata one it just says connecting all the time. If i click cancel then it takes me to a realm list with 1 realm on it that i click on the click join but then it does the laoding thing permenatly and never actually loads the character screen. Any ideas on what this could be?
