WotLK average latency on warmane

Dear everybody,

Altough I'm not new to WoW and private-servers, I'm new to Warmane. I just created my first character (Lordaeron) and my latency was around 400ms. I was wondering - Is this rather high for Warmane? Is this average? Is this low? Where are the servers located? since I'm logging in from germany. I think i was used having latency around 60ms when I played WoW on different servers back in the days. What do you guys think?

No, normal from Germany is in the 40ms range, not anywhere near 400. As nobody else seems to be having this issue it's probably just you. Roommates downloading stuff, wifi, whatever it might be.

that's a pity. my connection is usually very good - at least with other online games - but i just logged in and my latency went from 30ms to 220, to 600 to 900. unplayable atm. but thank you for your reply. if i'm the only one I will try to find the problem and solve it on my own.

ive got 80mb/sec internet and got a 25ping kinda crazy but server needs money for upgrading i suppose, player limit is a bit low tbh aswell

thank you for your answer, but what do you mean? do i have to pay to get better latency? and why do you think the playerlimit is low?
