1. Disappointed

    Hello.

I am disappointed with the staff's responsiveness. I got banned approximately 3 days ago because of 2 boys in my RDF group who reported me for "Disrupting gameplay" or in other words - refusing to leave the group. Now, as we all know, leaving a RDF group hangs a deserter debuff on you. Nobody wants this of course, me included. The thing was that I played with my girl and I carelessly signed for a RDF and entered. Only then I saw that I'm without my premade. We all make little mistakes like that. This is something very human and easy to fix with some help with the community, right? A little kindness goes a long way as they say. So I told the boys in the group, politely apologized, and asked for the kick. Those kids freaking attacked me! "This is your problem. Leave". I on the other hand kept my good attitude, accepted the other members' kick votes later on so we can go our separate ways. While still being in the group, however, I was threatened that I'll be reported and banned, kept being called "stupid", "*****"... And so I got banned. Came to the site, wrote a ticket, explained the situation, hoping that someone will understand the frustration that I collided with. I expect that whenever a player has a problem with other players in the community, the matter should be judged by the administration. And what? The ban had almost expired and nobody even tried to get involved. Does this mean I can just get any guy banned by randomly reporting him via in-game ticket? It seems to me this way. It's basically what happened. A guy reported me, the administration took his words to be a complete, undoubtful truth and nobody seemed to care what was my little situation and now it just doesn't matter. No biggie. 3 days ain't much, but next time I don't like somebody 'cause he is being rude or disrespectful or whatever I guess I can simply write some crap about him in a ticket and tell that he has done something horrible.

    Good day and best regards.

  2. The GMs actually do investigate the tickets, it's not a blind ban hammer, and refusing to leave on your own (without a kick) is against our rules.

Avoiding the debuff: Sitting at the dungeon's door waiting to be kicked because you don't want to do it, forcing people to kick you so you can avoid the debuff is now punishable. Rather wait 30 minutes than a day. Please consider.

  3. I pointed this out in my ticket, I'm aware of the rules. It's the constant negative attitude of the community that is driving me crazy. Not to compare but this happened on Icecrown and when I look back at Outland where people were so friendly it makes me start to wonder why did I even move... Sure, it's a different expansion, interesting content... but is it really worth it if so many people act like this. I'm saying this not because of this one case. This case was the cherry on top. I'm bringing this up because I observe the same attitude in many players on Icecrown. Not even saying that administration can change the whole community's attitude, but I'm trying to bring some kind of an awareness if I can call it that.

Nevertheless, thank you for this info.

  4. I definitely agree with the attitude, people are in a hurry with high expectations. Unfortunately, after having played here for years myself I do understand why they can sometimes lack patience. But I don't know how to go about changing any of it without going full SJW on the community, which I'm not interested in doing and it's outside of my job's description. Personally I just play with friends when I do log on.

  5. I love Your comment. I try to play like that. Made a mistake and immediately suffered consequences because of, as you called them, impatient but also vengeful, in my opinion, couple of people.
