lag issue (possibly a location issue)

45% of the time I get 195 ms on icecrown, 45% 200-300 ms, and 10% 400+. This lag is getting to be unbearable, and I don't want to find another private server to play on. My internet works fine for other clients, so that isn't the issue. Where are the servers located? I figure they must be located in Iceland or somewhere in EU judging by the realm time. I live in the United States. Do other people in NA have this issue?

Yes, from what I've heard other people in NA got about 100ms always, so it's your location issue.

Yeah, we already cried a little about it there http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=407536. But seems we are minority and nobody won't do anything.
According to tracert, server located somwhere in France.
I had the same issue, that started few weeks ago. And only thing that helped me is vpn. Playing 3d day with it: ping 40-110, no dissconects, hope it will be fine in future also.
