Please help - using vpns will i get banned

I am at school and my college's firewall blocks warmane. If I use a VPN, will Warmane see this as a bot and ban me? Are VPN safe; mainly Windscribe? Its the one I'm using currently because it is free and I don't have a credit card.

any vpn has the chance of getting you banned if you land on an ip that is banned. use them at your own risk.
