Well first off, sorry for my bad english, not my native :(
The ally winrate (for about 6k gs) is just ridiculous (i'm from blackrock), Sometimes it takes me 4 to 5 hours to get the first win for random bgs. And most of them aren't even fun and tight, it's just steamroll after steamroll.
So i think what might bring more balance is the following, from the most important to the least.
1) a fixed amount of heals for each team, about 4 in 15 men bg, and about 10 in 40men bg. → so many times, the horde comes with like 6 heals, each dps having his own pocket healer, and even those pocket healers have their own pocket healers. Stupid and typical, anyone farming bgs knows exactly what i'm talking about.
2) if having a fixed amount of heals results to a very long queue, cross faction bg might be an option.
3) matching premades against other premades. → in 15 men, having a bunch of 2 men parties, solos, maybe one four, against the same configuration. matching 5 men premades against other 5 men premades etc, for now, it seems the most brutal steamrolls results from premades getting matched against full random...
these changes, might result to a more enjoyable and balanced bg experience. GS balancing was an EXCELLENT first step, but i think its just not enough. What are your thoughts on this?
