1. Possible virus in wow.exe?

I am a new player and as I always do, I analyze everything I download. I have downloaded woltk old from the official warmane website and analyzed the wow.exe from virustotal, the problem is that it has resulted in the wow.exe having a Trojan.

I wanted to know if this is a false positive or what happens, anyway, of being a false positive, why does it detect it as a Trojan if it is an official blizzard wow.exe?

You can see the analysis in virustotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/...8cb8/detection

Greetings and I hope someone can help me.

PS: sorry for my bad English.

  2. It's the original WoW.exe file, made by Blizzard. It has not been modified. I just compared it to WoW.exe that I have from manually installing the expansions and patches and it's the same file.

Virustotal shows that some antivirus named MaxSecure detects it as a virus. I have never heard of that antivirus. If there was actually something wrong with it, you would see more antiviruses detecting it or at least some better known ones.

Thanks for answering. I guess you're right in what you say, but don't always distrust everything.
    Greetings.
