WotLK DBW priority for paladins

In my guild, we rolled a DBW for dkps, the problem was that a paladin rolled more dkps than a warrior and the officer decided to give it to warr, as i understand warr and other classes have more priority than palas, that is what i think, and i want to know other opinions

I don't know anything about ret paladins - in the game I only play as a feral kitty - but to my understanding arp isn't a priority stat for them. I can share you a link, where someone talked in detail about this topic:

Arp isn't a priority stat for ret, nor is DBW a BiS item for him. I believe I read somewhere it's DC Hc and STS Hc but don't quote me on that
