On the contrary.
All you need to activate the dialog (and request a code) for 2 factor authentication ingame for an account is the username.
This is a client limitation and we cannot do anything about it.
Rest assured it's not possible to "bruteforce" your account this way, or any way for that matter as we have throttling in place everywhere.
On top of that, the password must be correct and auth code must be correct to login to the account, regardless of knowing the username.
Unfortunately this may result in people intentionally causing auth emails being sent for players when they did not request them.
