WotLK Game not saving any settings

I guess the game folder was on read only so I fixed that.. now I just cant get windowed mode to work. when ever I clicked windowed mode the screen turns black the game still works I can still hear clicking other buttons but its just black how do I fix that?

If you have multiple monitors then let your main monitor stay on and turn off the others. Change your settings before turning the other monitors back on.
