Allright, so, I'm interested in the wotlk servers, mainly for pvp, did some digging in this forum and found out Shadowmourne is a huge issue which is really not surprising.
So there is a server with 1x rates with no shop and another with instant 80 and free pvp gear, which are all cross realm in arena/bg's? That doesn't make much sense to me.
Also are the wotlk realms all gonna stay in wrathful season for eternity? Imo that season is the beginning of the end for wow and I would take any other season for reasons of obvious balance issues.
Is there any balancing done in pvp to make non-shadowmourne classes anything else than punching bag?
Also I see hackers/scripters are a hot topic. Doesn't really give me much hope.

They have stayed on Wrathfull season since 2011 pretty much, so yes most likely server will stay on it for eternity. All of this realms are 5 years old so there is plenty of geared players, even w/o cross realm tons of them are BIS geared.
Overall all of the points you mentioned in your post exist here for over 10 years already and they seem to be doing just fine so nothing will change. Maybe its better if you find some other place to play, cus everything you listed as cons are almost a core part of Warmane.Edited: March 4, 2020

Warmane is not going to change anything just for someone who is still thinking to start here. We already have enough population in wotlk realms and even over population in a realm during peak hours, so I guess everybody still plays and do their things. If it doesn't really give you much hope, you don't have to start here because nobody is forcing you to do so.
