WotLK Guild recovery

Hello, I logged in recently after a long period of inactivity. I noticed the old guild I was in has no more active members, all officers and the GM haven't been active for the past 9 months. I am wondering if it's possible for me to get promoted to Officer by a Gamemaster so I can revive the guild. I don't want to be guild master in case the actual guild master decides to play and wants his position secured.

I asked this question in an in-game ticket and I was told to talk to a Forum GM named Aldtharion but I don't know how to reach him/her. Not sure if this is where I should make this post.

He will promote you to Guild Leader since the current Guild leader have been offline for more than 3 months
