1. False Reporting of Players - Query

    Hi,

I hope everyone is well during this pandemic.

I just have a query based on a strange event that happened today on the Icecrown server. I queued RDF - for FoS HC / PoS HC / HoR HC as a DPS, and much to my surprise the queue popped instantly. I pressed enter and it showed that I joined the group but I could not enter the instance. I kept getting a message saying "Transfer Aborted: The Instance Is Full" coupled with a red error message saying "Invalid Teleport Location". To add to the frustration- the tank in the group (a female blood elf - name: Uriel) began threatening to report me as "I refused to play" and was "Disrupting the daily RDF". He has said that he has reported me and that all 3 other members of the group are witnesses (I have no issues with either of them as they never threatened me with anything). I am a donator on this server on multiple occasions and I really enjoy playing on the server. If I get banned for something that was beyond my control (even on a temporary basis) I am afraid I will no longer be able to support this server as that would be quite ridiculous.

Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide.

    thanks.

EDIT: on another note - their unnecessary kicking of me once I was finally able to enter the instance landed me my save for 24 hours. which is also just irritating.

  2. That happens when a corpse of or the player himself (that they kicked) is still inside the instance. You can screenshot the "Invalid teleport location", "Instance is full" and if you get banned you have valid proof that you were banned wrongfully. Also, the fact you donated has nothing to do with whether you'd get banned or not. GMs can't read minds meaning that they can't tell if a report was false or not.
We're all treated equally so don't think that this

donation blackmail will serve any purpose and that you're entitled to different treatment.

  3. Thank you for the advice (and accusation of donation blackmail, that was not my intention, I just find it difficult to justify paying for something that does not do its due diligence before just slapping a ban hammer on someone). One more question though - if I am banned - and it is found that I was falsely reported - what punishment does the reporter receive?

    thanks.

  4. I don't think they get any punishment. At most they may get a bad boy point so they eventually get banned if they keep doing it.

  5. So what you're saying is its okay to just falsely report people (up to a point) because they go unpunished even if found guilty? So you could just report people you don't like, say 4 or 5 times?

    Weird.

  6. Has happened to me too.
Was never banned for being criminal scum.

Yes, and the best part is that even IF you have "evidence" of your innocence your ban will most likely expire before its looked over. It's all rainbows and sunshine here bro, there are no "bad" players on Warmane. It's like soviet union, you will ****ing live in utopia or we gona put you in gulag or kill you.

  7. From their point of view you were just refusing to enter the dungeon and lying about a bug to avoid getting the debuff from leaving the group. A mistaken report isn't a false report, so they shouldn't get any sort of punishment simply for not believing you, when anyone could just be lying about it.

  8. That would make sense - but I was able to enter the dung after about 6 minutes of the error - enterred, accepted the save (They had already killed Ick and Garfrost before kicking the DPS before I got the queue pop), cleared a few mobs, and then was kicked.

  9. That could work both ways again, from their point of view: it could be that the bug "cleared up" and you were able to join, or that after getting told you were being reported to get a ban you decided it was better to run the dungeon, which you could be lying about being bugged, just to avoid a ban.

  10. So what you're saying is that without screen shots - I am basically going to be banned?

  11. That will depend on the GM who reads the reports, assuming they did report you, but it's quite possible, yes. They will have proof of you not entering the dungeon and saying you couldn't, while you apparently have nothing to show that you were in fact bugged, and not someone simply aware that this bug exists and using it to get people to kick you from the group to avoid the debuff. You would have been better off leaving the group and taking the debuff when it was clear something was wrong and you weren't able to join.
