Technical Is Turbo Key or Key Splash/Smash okay to use?

I have a simple question: Am I able to use either of these concepts? They both adhere to 1 key = 1 action.

Turbo Key: When I hold 1, input will Spam 1 very fast.
Key Splash/Smash: When I press 1, 12345 will be pressed.

The main reason I am interested in these is that I have set up the ability to play with a controller and most classes skill sets extend beyond a controllers available buttons. Setting up macros or 1 button = multiple buttons from the controller seems to be the easiest way to solve this.

I am making a post about this as this seems to be a grey area when digging through the forums. It seems multi-boxing is okay so I am under the assumption that what I described above is okay as well. I would prefer to not get my account banned though for doing this if it is not okay.

Here is a reference post that suggests it is okay (http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=413911), but this topic is mixed in with AHK stuff. What I am discussing can be done with many programs and very similar to a 3rd party application that is mirroring input to many wow screens for multiboxing.
