    banned for nothing

I ran a with a heroic dung group that said that anyone can roll on anything then when a cloth piece dropped i needed on it as im a boomy and it was a large upgrade. (it was spell-caster dps legs) The healer of the group who we picked up since last heals dropped decided to report me for this even though my whole group was telling me it wasn't a problem. He then decides to pull mobs and die then drop group. He the starts whispering me about how i'm going to be banned and how i'm a ninja looter scum.

Is this normal on this server? I just got banned for 5 days over this.

This wasn't random dungeon finder btw it was a walk in group.

Well, did you tell the new healer there were no rules for the loot?

If no, you had no right to need his item.
If yes, you shouldn't have been banned since he's obligated to SS rules when compiling ninja looting proof in the ticket because GMs aren't supposed to ban anyone without it.

Considering you were banned, you didn't tell him there were no loot rules so standard dungeon loot rules apply.

This is ridiculous! I'm new on the server and to be banned aver this blows my mind! It was a huge upgrade for me and the guy only got my banned to be petty. ive been playing wow since launch and have never seen something like this.

Our group lead was the guy who laid out the rules a few runs prior and I expected he would have told the heals he picked up after our heals had to leave..The guy was only there for 1 boss and manages to get me banned and throw a tantrum. My freaking head is about to explode.

IMO That's not even Ninja looting. You benefited from the upgrade, and you're wearing them. They have nothing outlined for what a Dungeon Ninja is.

If he benefited from it, but not in the role/specialization he was playing in the dungeon, it's still stealing from those who were in that role/specialization, unless the whole group agrees to let him roll Need for it beforehand.

Unfortunately, this is just another interpretation. While it's a very good interpretation that I would agree with, there still is nothing specifically against what is stated in the Ninja Rules here: https://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=325598

I'm currently fighting a dungeon ban for rolling on a level 35 stam cloak as a warlock. -.-

Those are ninja rules for raids, as is mentioned multiple times in that thread.
If what I said was "just another interpretation," people wouldn't be being banned for it, like you did apparently.

No need to act defensive. These are the only Ninja Rules posted that I can find on the website. If you have access to more information, I'd be glad to look at it. This is exactly my point. There are no rules outlying a Dungeon Ninja.

"Because of increasing number of ninjas in raids we decided to step forward and enforce new rules. From now on players caught in act of ninja during a raid/dungeon run will be banned.
Please bear in mind that best way to avoid ninjas is common sense and raiding with trusted players or guild."

You might want to get a better understanding of what "acting defensive" means. Just so you won't unintentionally project, you know.
No, I'm not a GM, I don't have access to their guidelines. I'm a Forum Moderator, though, and, just like other regulars who can confirm it, I see all the threads from people who get banned for this and then create threads about it. Or fight the ban, whatever that means. You should contact the a GM if you want clarifications of the in-game rules.
