Hi, i've played on warmane few year ago and i decide to play again with my brothers on the new server, Frostmourne with the nickname "Rapestyle".
I never got ban in any game but here i got ban for the most common reason : "ninja looting in dungeon" yes again one.
I post here because the staff seem to delete all my others post and don't reply to my tickets and the ticket must be under 40 char and over 30 char and OF COURSE space count as a character ! that mean you can't really clarify anything by opening a ticket except by typing things like "pls unban me".
So i'll explain once again i was in a rdf and get into dire maul north with a frost mage who is the reason i got ban. At the end of the dungeon a blue staff giving spirit drop the FROST mage need it so i need it for my bro who was DRUID HEALER named "Excaliboules" then after this mage whisp me a bunch of insult and told me he will report me for ninja looting and he will happy to see me ban because i'm a "piece of ****" and after he start harrassing me and insulting so i've ignore him.
I've insult him ? watch all the chat log you could see i didn't insult him i simply said it was healer staff and i give it to the druid then its him who attemt to ninja loot and there's no way warmane ban me if he open a ticket for that. I even tell him he could be ban if warmane watch the chat lof because what he did was harrassing and disgusting.
And ... i got ban for real some days after this ... so what i ask is for the staff to tell me at least why the player who report me isn't ban too for harrassing insult and ninja looting a healer staff in dungeon ( AND don't tell me mage need spirit staff because i've see ones getting ban for needing spirit or warrior needing bis agility gear or even healer needing staff with hit rating so by your logic he clearly ninja loot my bro).
At least link me the chat log or the loot log i think you could at least keep the log before ban someone right ??? i hope you don't blindly trust a player who open a tickets because report every player you meet and you don't like just because you have a bad day or whatever should be bannable in my humble opinion. Your community look more and more like the league of legend one with toxic player reporting other for toxicity...
If someone get ban for ninja looting you should at least say what he ninja loot or at least the logs... seriously you could ban a player just because someone report him for ninja looting even if he didn't need on anything in the dungeon.
Its simply disgusting and it feel undeserve... don't you think you have WAY TOO MUCH toxicity on your servers ? i see racism, sexism, insult every time i log on on global/trade/general/yelling and the next day i see the SAME PLAYERS being racist/sexist/trolling/harrassing all the time...
If i'm wrong at least tell me why i am...
Soooorry again for my bad english i am French and i do effort to learn another language.
Warmane doesn't keep chat logs.
The evidence needed and what is considered ninja looting can be found here http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=325598
They don't show evidence to peopel to protect annonimity of the people that report you.
You don't mention your class in your story, so I'm gonna assume you deffienetely cant use the staff. Rolling for someone else isn't allowe and hence why you ended with a ban. Regardless of your motives for doing so. If you think he's ninja looting , you should of taken screnshots and reproted him.
Also, In this case I would say it depends on what weap the mage already had equiped, as if it's worse than the one he rolled for, he is in he's right to do so.
Wait you tell me warmane don't keep chat logs that mean if you get harrass and insult by someone then you tell him to "shu up" and you ignore him you'll be ban if he report you and you couldn't justify yourself because nobody keep the log ?
I personaly never report other players sadly because i believe there're more important things to do and its a waste of time but it seem its not for some...
I'm a Warrior so i can use a staff.
So you tell me if a healer have a 200ilvl weapon he can need a 232ilvl weapon with hit rating and the caster dps with his 219ilvl weapon can't report him for that...
Rolling for someone else isn't allow and Roll for something you don't need isn't allow and also roll for a healer staff as dps when the healer need it isn't allow too... so ?
So the mage who need for a spirit healer weapon than my Resto druid bro need should not be allow that mean the mage i'm talking about should be ban.
Also can you get ban if you abuse the report system ? because i've see toons (litteraly toons) of players ABUSING the report system always the same player who want you ban if you take a green drop in wailing cavern or just because they dont like you and i find its abusive.

Generally, if someone insulsts you and you ignore him that's not reportable. If they carry on harrasing you by making loads of alts just to get to you, then you could report him for it, provided you kept the screenshots.

It's a case by case thing. I'd recomend sending a pm to a gm to get mroe clarification.
But how i understand it is if it's a viable upgrade(as in still a caster item and the main stats such as spell pwoer, intelect etc are enough of an improvement to have a redundant stat on it( i'm talking like going from a green to an epic )), then you can roll for it.
You can argue about the mage needing a ban or not, but you would need to make a report on him with the required evidene.
As the report was made on you and you was the one beeing investigated.

If it's a valid report, it's a valid report. If it's not, it's not.
Ok so i was unlucky to fall on this kind of people...
And i didn't keep his name... didn't take screenshot just ignore him with the /ignore syntaxe like probably half the players. And i get ban...
Well its the same everywhere... the vast majority of players who open a ticket or say "report report" in games are often the one who need a report.
Its sad than casual players who play the game like a game have to deal with it... Justice is unfair sometimes...
I just got banned for doing loot council on my guild. We ran 25 Man Naxxramas and specified that on the Saturday raids trinkets, tier and KT gear will be rewarded via council, to avoid an earlier issue of new/inactive members taking items and not raiding again or leaving the guild.
I usually ask people to /roll 1 so we can see who to consider, but this time around I didn't think much of it just asked them to roll. We were obviously on discord and had killed earlier bosses where this rule applied, so EVERYONE was on the same page.
Then I gave it to the top healer/most constant player of the guild (the other guy just joined raid for the last two bosses and had been inactive for a month after winning a trinket. And yes, he knew about the looting rules).
Anyways, the guy reported me (officer) and the healer (raider) and we both got banned for 2 months. All my guild mates started opening up tickets, complaining about this ban, but so far no replies. It seems to me he screenshoted the rolls and warmane didn't even think about looking too deep into it. It was a guild run after all, and rules were specified beforehand... Even if the case is that I ninja'd the item (which is not), my top healer, who received the item, had no fault whatsover.
It seems to me that the only way to be safe from arbitrary bans is to record every single second of gameplay and state to the camera the rules, which is obviously absurd. It is a game, after all. And guilds should be allow to have their own looting rules. If you don't agree to them, you should not partake in their runs or simply leave the guild.
